Hello everyone! My apologies if ever I have not added new Blog. Anyways Let me share my thoughts about CHANGE!
..... FOr a couple of months I was very anxious and fearful for the imminent CHANGE that is about to take place. I received My immigrant visa and my employer called me that my depoyment will be by the end of September.
Great! I should be thankful and happy for this is the most awaited thing in my life at present. This is a dream coming to reality! Yet as the day draws near the more I became restless, ambivalent and depress. Whoa! Depress? One mytthink that I must Be crazy! I am about to migrate to the US and I am depress? SHOOT! Yeah I am perhaps crazy! or not? ......
Finally the Day came. September 23 when I Boarded Cathy Pacific bound for Los Angeles Via Hong Kong. Nothing unusualduring flight except that when I tune In My Radio, the DJ was discussing about the REALITY about CHANGE. Heres What I learned:
Ways to embrace Change:
1. Take time
Change is permanent! there is nothing you can do about it. No matter you like it or not, change will STILL take its own course. Do not resist it, allow yourself in your own phase to follow the flow!
2. Its OK to be emotional!
The BEST thing in life is to be in your COMFORT ZONE! to feel the comfort of your own shell! Well when change is to happen One is to be in Uncharted waters! and this brings forth Anxiety and discomfort! So feel your emotion! I bet you It is normal..
3. Have a perspective
Knowing that There is nothing you can do the prevent it. Try to be in your best stance! What do you want to happen? would you like to feel anxious and be fearful about the future? or take a brave heart knowing that THE BEST IS YET TO COME in your life! its a matter of perspective!
4. Inlist your friends and Family!
Change is better handled with if you ask the support of your family and friends. In my part I have contacted my classmates, friends and relatives in Los Angeles. And they provided me the WORDS that I needed the MOST. ASSURANCE that I can make it. If anything happens in the wrong course its good to know that you have someone to lean on
5. Simplifly things!
Migrating to a place you have never been into is no easy business. Its like a fish in the aquarium transfered to the OCEAN! Its a course of Uncertainty, risk and danger!.. yet when you do things according to priority, then it is allot more safer.
6. Follow the flow!
It is easier to swim along the river than opposing it....Let go and learn to ride on the flow of things
7.Learn form IT.
This change will eventually become a ROUTINE in the future and then another CHANGE will take place! So learn from it so the next time around it will be allot more easier to adjust.
8. .... This is my own way of dealing cHANGE ..Ask for guidance! you may call it GOD, Divine! spiritual!- its soothing to know that there is someone, something greater thanall of us that is in our side!
